Happy Prep Day to you All!
Just a quick roundup of some news closing out this week in the Abib Growing Cycle in the Land.
We simply can caption the first photo as "imagine that."
Then two photos of the softer side of the rain event in two of our traditionally early locations.
Then a photo of Marina holding one of the first heads from her irrigated wheat field in the NW Negev. This is from the field we have been showing you during this cycle and reminding everyone we can't use irrigated fields for our Calendar purposes and outcomes.
For the new folks, these heads look pretty plump don't they. Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing in the seed pouches. This head has just come out of the boot and pollination has just taken place. The start of the embryo seed is just beginning and it is quite tiny.
The weather is below the norm for most of the grain growing locations in the the Land for this time in February. Yes, the big winter cool down has come right on time and will be with it up through most of next week if the weather models hold true.
For you old timers, you know this is the time of year we look for a "sharav event" and not a cool down to bring on the maturing process in the domestic and wild barley fields for the upcoming end of the 12th month.
Looks like Father has a different idea as He is in complete control of all the meteorological conditions in the Land.
Hope the upcoming Sabbath rest is ushered in with peace and quite and some special blessings.
Our peace we give to you!
