Monday August 25, 2025: 6th Biblical New Moon Day

Good Morning Folks and a happy start to the 6th Biblical Month. Since the crescent was spotted in the Jerusalem area last evening after sunset (by both Karaite and Christian observers) the start of the 7th Biblical month as we know and keep it starts at sunset on Tuesday September 23rd at sunset. Thus the dates on the Festival Page are set for the 7th Month.

Trumpets is noted as Wednesday September 24th and of course that simply means it starts the evening before as a Biblical day is from sunset to sunset.

If you do not comprehend that simple Biblical fact that is okay with us. Be happy in your confusion.

Also a simple reminder to those who view the info on our website and Facebook Page, we do not allow commenting. They are information sites only. Some are challenging this sighting stating things that are not true. That is not unusual in itself for many have entered in to do such things. The conditions in the Jerusalem area last evening were fine for spotting a 110.9 visibility rated crescent. The haze was not bad at all considering the time of year it is, thus our Elohim allowed that to take place. It was actually spotted right were we would have been looking if not a little bit lower even. Low on the horizon as it was winding down. Our location we use there would have allowed a better look at it as we actually see the surface of the Mediterranean Sea as well from it. We have done so in the past with a 110 class visibility from Jerusalem.

For those who are not accepting this sighting you have only to wait until Tuesday September 23rd at sunset to know when you will be doing so as it will be a 124.3 visibility rating at that time. That is easily seen if there is no cloud cover or thick haze blocking it.
