Monday March 3, 2025: Take 2

Good Morning once again,

We have our first White stork update for you today. A flock entered the South yesterday and was moving north along the Gaza strip corridor which we define often as Barley Alley. Multiple birders have reported them, but we were actually able to snag a photo of them. We usually see a few pioneer flocks migrating into the Land at the end of February. These guys are a little late but not a lot for the first of the early birds.

If you look at the Typical March Calendar you will see the general migration of White Storks commences on or after the 10th of March. We will keep you posted on that progress.

There are also reports of small bands of swifts performing their acrobatic dives and climbs above the landscape. They to will be arriving in general numbers shortly as they usually start claiming their nesting grounds at the wall in Jerusalem by the 15th of March.
