Sabbath February 21, 2026: Take 2

Hi Folks,

As promised earlier here is the simple truth about the fools errand of the Aries defined calendar.

The following is an excerpt from a more detailed article on the website but this should suffice. Here is the quote from Josephus who wrote it around 90 AD in regard to Aries. This was him giving a history lesson in Judaism. Keep in mind the aforementioned historical date. If you want a real shocker read the article on the website. He states the Passover is entirely on the 14th and not the 15th. And the first day of Unleavened Bread is the 15th for 7 days. He also states the barley harvest could not start until the wavesheaf was brought to the Temple. Modern Judaism has turned all that upside down. That is what a spirit of stupor does to people just as Paul so clearly articulates in Romans 11. However, in time, that will be corrected later in the Plan of Salvation.

“In the month of Xanthicus, which is by us called Nisan, and is the beginning of our year, on the fourteenth day of the lunar month, when the sun is in Aries”

What Josephus is stating here is that the timing of the sun transiting through the constellation Aries was the traditional timing of the Month of Abib relative to the Vernal Equinox. Keep in mind he is talking about a 29 or 30 day month. During the 2160 year circuit of Aries, the sun was just transited through it at the western edge of its boundary in the heavens around the timing of the vernal equinox prior to his birth in circa 37 AD. That is important to get. That is why he states Native Israel had done relevant to Aries in its keeping of the moedim up to his time and since the exodus from Egypt. It all fell within the timing of Aries relative to the vernal equinox. He is 100% correct in saying that.

However, that dominance and timing of Aries ceased to happen right around the death of Jesus/Yeshua and Josephus’ birth. That is not a coincidence and is debated on either side of that date by many. The simple fact is they almost all agree it is close to it based on celestial timing, one side of it or the other.

As you may already know the sun started transiting the constellation Pisces at that time and still does today in relation to the Vernal Equinox which many call the spring equinox. The constellation sign in the sky has changed dramatically since Josephus’ birth and life. So much so that it is now in the western boundary portion of Pisces the fish which is why little “c” Christianity has used it as a sign of their time. The sun does not transit Aries now until later into the Gregorian Month of April. That is a simple fact. Even though this is the case, many still attempt to associate it with the Vernal Equinox. It just does not happen any longer. But try and find the actual date the sun does travel through it and you can get frustrated. That is because so many do not want to give up their traditions in this worship of mystic things.

Here is just one of the many quotes you can find online that says the same thing and states why.

“The First Point of Aries, the location of the vernal equinox, is named for the constellation. This is because the Sun crossed the celestial equator from south to north in Aries more than two millennia ago. Hipparchus defined it in 130 BC. as a point south of Gamma Arietis. Because of the precession of the equinoxes, the First Point of Aries has since moved into Pisces and will move into Aquarius by around 2600 AD. The sun now appears in Aries from late April through mid-May, though the constellation is still associated with the beginning of spring.”

Did we get that, what did we just read?

Very simple to understand truths. During the dominant years of the constellation Aries being associated with the sun transiting through it at the time of the vernal equinox, Israel had received its instructions found in Leviticus 23 about the proper timing of the annual moedim, or as some prefer, the holy days in a year outside of the weekly Sabbath. That was associated with Native Israel and the First Marriage Covenant terms and conditions. Let’s say their timeline and the sign given to it in the heavens which speak knowledge to us if we know how to interpret it.

Josephus is confirming this in his final writings for a record to all.

Shortly before or after the life of Christ/Messiah the 2160 year timeline of the constellation Aries ended in relationship to the Vernal Equinox and changed to the start of the 2160 year timeline of the constellation Pisces. So, for the past 2000 years the sun is in the boundaries/territories of Pisces when it transitions the Vernal Equinox baseline separating the 2 hemispheres. I personally believe it did so at His death. It was ushering in the timing of a Second Marriage Covenant with better promises right up front and clearly to be understood as different from the terms and conditions of the First Marriage Covenant. A record was written in the heavens. Yes, the heavens speak knowledge to us. You will see why shortly. Let me stick to the point here that the sign in the sky had now changed and ushered in the 2160 year timeline of the symbol of the fish or Pisces, two thousand years ago!

The unfortunate truth here is many of the mystics of astrology and their followers still use Aries as the one transiting with the sun at the time of the Vernal Equinox to keep their traditions intact. Can’t make this stuff up can you. Talk about a tradition kept in light of all the facts. Sound familiar, Eh!

All their dates still reflect this inaccuracy of truth. Sounds like our neighbors in most sects of Judaism does it not? A few more quotes that emphasize the same thing and more.

“The First Point of Aries also known as the cusp of Aries is the location of the March Equinox (the vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere, and the autumnal equinox in the southern), used as a reference point in celestial coordination systems. In diagrams using such coordinate systems, it is often indicated with the symbol ♈︎. Named for the constellation of Aries it is one of the two points on the celestial sphere at which the celestial equator crosses the ecliptic, the other being the First Point of Libra, located exactly 180° from it. Due to the precession of the equinoxes since the positions were originally named in antiquity, the position of the sun when at the March equinox is now in Pisces, when it is at the September equinox it is in Virgo.”

And another;

“The first point of Aries is important to the fields of astronomy, nautical navigation and astrology. Navigational ephemeris tables record the geographic position of the first point of Aries as the reference for position of navigational stars. Due to the slow precession of the equinoxes the zenith view (above a location) of constellations at a time of year from a given location have slowly moved west (by using solar epochs the drift is known). The tropical zodiac is similarly affected and no longer corresponds with the constellation (the Cusp of Libra today is located within Virgo). In sidereal astrology by contrast, the first point of Aries remains aligned with the Aries constellation.”

When false teachers use the timing stated by Josephus as the first and foremost aspect of declaring when the Biblical Year is to start here at the end of the age, they display their complete ignorance of such things. For 2160 years it would have been correct: but not today, and not so for the past 2000 years!

As 1 Peter 3:14-16 instructs us we are to be ready to give a defense for the hope which is in us to any and all. Yes, that also includes to the Mixed Multitude and Tares.

How are we all doing on that command from Father and Christ/Messiah?
