Sabbath January 4, 2024

Good Morning Folks and a Very Happy Sabbath to you All,

To All because it is the one activity we all share in, the Sabbath. Thus, our genuine goodwill to All in that wonderful blessing from above.

Well as gramma would say, when it rains it pours. That has been the case in a lot of locations north of the Negev this past week. In many areas a blessing, and in others a curse. It is good to see so many streams running high once again with their winter flows. A trademark of winter in the Land.

It is time to check in with the timing of the Zadok Code/Growth Scale, seeing how we are 30 days into the first fields of grain having germinated. For those of you who are not familiar with the Zadok Scale you can find a chart with pictures of the various stages of growth, and a written descriptive chart with the specific days assigned to them, on the pinned section above here on the Facebook Page or at our website.

It is important to know, and to understand, that these tools we have been given to assist us by people engaged in the agricultural sector of life and commerce, are based on “perfect growing conditions.” The days you see assigned to various stages reflect that average growth under such meteorological conditions: the rain, sun, and heat they are subjected to. We will get to the soils later.

So do not be deceived by people throwing numbers around to sound like they know what they are talking about in their effort to impress you, and get an in with you, to steal your crown in many instances (and your cash). That is a caveat to the entire Calendar Doctrine here at the end of the age. With that in mind we will be addressing the effects of water on both wild (growing amongst their domestic sister in the same soils) and domestic grains, as well as the growth stages to date, under the meteorological conditions they have lived in during these first 30 days. You will see exactly what we are talking about, the effect of the weather in an imperfect environment of the growth stages of the grain, compared to that of the perfect Zadok Scale.

There are locations still being planted, and as mentioned above, some that are 30 days past germination. That simply tells us they are from #0 through #2 in Zadoks Scale. Let’s start with the first photo of one of the older fields of grain this week. Take a look at it closely and even better if you can zoom in on it. This grain has entered advanced tillering in large part. You can also see some evidence of jointing taking place, but overshadowed by the advanced tillering evidence of the field so far. Now take a look at the pinned photo above of how that looks in Zadoks Scale. Then look at the written version of it. You will note that advanced tillering takes place anywhere from 15-23 days and jointing from 16-31 days. Now remember, that is under perfect growing conditions. This field is now past 30 days since germination. Do you see, that based on germination in the scale that the grain is much younger looking than what is expected under perfect conditions for a 30+ day old field in Zadoks Scale? Based on that number of days it should be well into the majority of “jointing” stage.

This is where a good farmer earns his keep so to speak. As spiritual farmers we understand that perfect growing conditions do not exist in the Land at this time and quite frankly probably not since the Garden of Eden. We also know that Father is in complete control of every single meteorological condition and event that takes place there. If you do not think so, then you had better jump over to the calculated Rabbinical Calendar to suffice your unbelief.

Now let’s do a little math, from the pretend perspective that there now will be a perfect set of meteorological conditions for this field up to the time of physiological maturity and then harvesting. As of today January 4, we are 55 days away from the end of this Biblical 12 month year based on the Abib Calendar Growth Cycle that started this current year. You will see on both charts that the growth cycle under perfect conditions tops out at 89-90 days on average for grain, it does not matter whether it is barley or wheat, for as cousins, they have the same growth stages and times assigned to them genetically.

There is no way this location of most advanced grain to date in this growth cycle will be ready based on the actual age it now is at, even if there were perfect conditions by March 1st. Yes, it is over 30 days since germination but, it is just entering and entered (depending on where you look in the field, which we will get to) the 16 to 23 day stage of actual growth with a lot of the field still locked into the initial tillering stage and not advanced tillering. There is no way it will be ready by the new moon of March 1st. That is when the decision needs to be made by some of you as to whether this 12 month Biblical Year comes to an end or if it is extended by a month to let the grain have time to mature so that we would be assured of having an acceptable Wavesheaf Offering by the 10-14th of the month which would be roughly 40 days from that point (March 1).

We do have another option as well which many of you know I go by personally. That is simply that at the end of the 12th Biblical Month of this current cycle which ends on February 28, that if the grain is going to be at the Zadok 8.3 plus stage by the 10th day of the next month starting on March 1st and it will be physiologically mature (aviv Leviticus 2:14) by the Wavesheaf Day occurring on the first day of the Biblical week (Sunday) during the 15th to the 21st of that lunar cycle, then we have the start to the Biblical New Year on March 1st. That would require near perfect conditions for the remainder of this 11th month, the entirety of the 12th month, and for the first 10 days of the proposed Month of Abib under this scenario.

As you know, I do not think that will be the case based on where we are as of today, but Father is in charge and that is why we watch diligently as to what He is doing with all of His meteorological conditions throughout the entire growing cycle.

Do you see how you, in the privacy of your home, can have a good understanding as to when the New Year will begin, even from afar? We certainly hope so, for the day is coming when you will need to have all of these patterns and experiences in doing so under your belt, as the saying goes. You and Christ/Messiah eating one and one at the table as He and Father grant you favor, acceptance, and knowledge in all of this.

So, why does this older field to date have the look of a 16 to 23 day old field in some locations when it has been growing for over 30 days? It’s all very simple. It received its germinating rains back in the last part of November. They were of such quantity to soak the soil it was growing in. It has received some very light rain prior to last week after that, but not enough to encourage any type of rapid growth. For the most part it was watered by the morning dew which we have given you examples of during this growth cycle. Some scoff at that but they are Biblical simpletons who have no understanding of when rains actually started on the earth. I do speak to them at times about them, and suggest they return to the Book of Genesis to catch up a bit.

So, what does large amounts of dew instruct us about the weather in that location? It tells us that the nights were cold and the days warm. Take a quick look into “dew points” on your own, and get up to date on that if you are not already aware of its affects and processes.

And do not forget plants are like people in many ways, they put the energy they build up during the day to work at night, as to growth and restoring any deficiencies suffered. Gramma used to say on a warm night you could hear the garden growing.

Then we have the lack of sunlight due to overcast days which once again contributed to the more juvenile look compared to actual growth days to date. There is a science of such things you can look into called “growing degree days” which is also noted on the Zadok picture of growth scale, but I like to actually spend time watching the daily events affecting the locations. What is not taken into consideration is the soils and which hold heat more than others.

In all reality, with all the tools we have at our disposal here at the end of the age you can do so once a week by just going back and noting the meteorological conditions from that week before. It can give you a good feel for where things are and where they are headed. Use that info combined with the hundreds of pictures on the internet of fields growing, and you have a good basis of knowledge for making good decisions.

As to soils, it is very important to understand the science behind our Lords instruction about the sower and the types of soil and their effects on the growth of the grain. Soils that are hard packed and walked over often will not even germinate because of the condition and use of the area, and then there are the birds who like to eat exposed seed just hanging around. Quite a spiritual lesson there, eh! Then we have soils which are lurking with all kinds of weedy threats. Those are the ones where the weeds suck the life out of the soils and thus the good seeds growth is rendered useless as to growth in a timely matter. A lot of that taking place surrounding the Abib Calendar Doctrine here at the end of the age.

The stony soils are the tricky ones. We are not talking bolder strewn locations on steep hillsides or otherwise, but soils with a heavy aggregate of small stones that can be plowed and tilled and then planted after the Biblical Agricultural pattern given to us through:

Isaiah 28:23-26 Listen up and hear my voice, pay attention and hear my speech. Does the plowman keep plowing all day to sow? (No there are other things that need to happen before sowing takes place) Does he keep turning his soil and breaking the clods? (of course not, when it can be leveled, he does so, and then it is ready for planting) When he has leveled its surface, does he not sow the black cummin and scatter the cummin, plant the wheat in rows, the barley in the appointed place, and the spelt in its place? For He instructs him, his Elohim teaches him in right judgments.

This is the Biblical method of grain agriculture. Yes, the grain needs to have been planted in soils that can and have been tilled then broken down and leveled to qualify as a Biblical grain field, and thus a qualification for the First of the Firstfruits wavesheaf Offering. If it does not come from this type of location, it is unqualified to be such. It’s that simple! Don’t let the grifters and agents of darkness confuse you. This is Yehovah talking to you right here in Isaiah not me. You need to listen up as He says.

Stony soils that are tillable and actually tilled are an interesting location for grain. They normally drain more rapidly than stone free soils. Once the grain reached the Zadok stage 6-7 in stony soils and if rains diminish the grain will self-abort its tillers and put all its strength of energies into maintaining and maturing its main stem and head. That results in accelerated growth and maturing through the remaining stages so it can reproduce itself with the limited moisture. That is its prime directive in creation. That will usually end up looking quite anemic and thus not without blemish and as such disqualified from being a holy grain offering without blemish.

However, there is the good side to the stony grounds which can be tilled. The stones absorb the heat from the sun and store it readily and longer for the cold nights. That actually promotes good growth.

Also for you knew folks remember this simple pattern: too little rain stunts the plant but promotes quicker maturing, and too much rain promotes a longer maturing time as it spends a lot of time growing big and bulky and impressive looking and kind of forgetting its simple primary directive, to produce seed that can reproduce itself in an average time frame. No vanity in it at all as displayed with the life of Christ/Messiah and when He matured as our spiritual First of the Firstfruit Wavesheaf blemish free offering on our behalf.

So, we hope this post is of assistance to you. Remember if you have any follow up questions contact us at the email address above or by sending us a note with a preview attached. If not, we do not open them just send them into delete file.

In the next post you will have opportunity to put all this in practice.
