Good Morning Brethren.

I have heard from some of you old timers about the wind of doctrine of a Friday crucifixion blowing through the Abib Calendar folks. I have also heard and seen from others who are not old timers in this walk who would like an answer to it. I have written about it extensively in the past and all that is to be found on the website.

With that said let me do as brief of a summary as I can do on the topic. Blunt at times as it should be.

And yes, it is difficult to watch it once again come out of the storeroom as it has so often done in the past. It is an infection which needs to be addressed. That is all I or you can do. It is up to the reader to either accept or reject it. And that is outside of our job description and pay scale.

By the way the AI on Facebook will probably slide the days and numbers around differently in the calendar section below. You can find them in the proper sequence on the website, or the file post after this one.

Matthew 12:40 can’t be any clearer. It is the fundamental declaration of the time Christ/Messiah would spend in the grave. All else needs to measure up in the pattern. The sequence of days is exactly as it was for the first Passover in Egypt. That in itself was a prophesy of events that would come to a reality with the timing of the Passover of the Lamb of Fathers household, His death and His resurrection.

“For as Jonah was three (#5140) days (#2250) and three (#5140) nights (#3571) in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three (#5140) days (#2250) and three (#5140) nights (#3571) in the heart of the earth.”

1)Three in all instances here is the Greek word tria: a prime (plural) number = three.

2) Days in both instances is the Greek word hemera which can represent the time between dawn and dark, or the entire 24-hour day.

3) Nights in both instances is the Greek word nux, which only means night.

That can’t be any simpler. It says beyond the shadow of a doubt that the time period being represented here is 3 daylight portions and 3 nighttime portions, thus we have three 24-hour days starting at sunset and ending at sunset three days later. And it is repeated twice for emphasis!

Why is this important?

Because it was a very clearly seen and understood “sign” to come and witnessed to in the past, thus 2 witnesses given to an evil and adulterous generation by our Savior Himself. They did not have the spirit of Elohim leading them to understand the patterns in the Word of God/Elohim. Thus Christ/Messiah spoke to them on the level of understanding they could comprehend, and spelled it completely out so they would be without excuse.

Matthew 12:39 “But He answered and said to them, an evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.”

Sign here is #4592 semeion: an indication of certainty. In other words, the proof of something.

In this case it is the proof of His Messiahship or as Isaiah says in the context here the Servant, as well as He also being the Lord of the Sabbath. Please read the entire chapter to see what is at stake here. This is not some intellectual game being played out. It is dead serious with real consequences.

If someone who professes to be of Christ/Messiah and comes to you preaching something different than this clearly articulated and understood sign given for and to those who did not house the spirit of Elohim, then run as fast as you can from it. It is promoted and cherished by over a billion who refer to themselves as Christian. They are under the curse of spiritual stupor and delusion. Which simply tells us they are using something other than the spirit in man to come up with such ridiculous conclusions.

But this should not come as any surprise to any of you if we believe the condition of the Assemblies of the called of Father as spoken to in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. In some of them there are doctrines being taught which are derived from the depths of satan as John warns us. Do not forget he is the prince of the power of the air and plants this stuff in people’s minds. But as a member of the called of Father it should not be happening.

Revelation 2:24-26 "Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. Just hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations.”

Here at the end of the age there are many winds of doctrine blowing through the Assemblies of the called of Father and the Body of Christ/Messiah. Some who have walked in the truth once delivered, are developing itching ears which is simply responding to the whispers of the prince of the power of the air, and a lust for intellectual vanity and not following the Lamb wherever He goes. It is a tragedy, but it has been a foretold occurrence.

It most certainly needs our prayers, but more so our witness to the truth of it taking place. It’s actually heart wrenching at times. But as Paul instructs us through his letter to the Corinthians there will be heresies amongst us to show who is approved.

1 Corinthians 11:19 “For there must also be heresies among you, that those who are acceptable may be clearly discernable among you.”

And we have a part to undertake in it.

James 5:19-20 “Brethren, if anyone among you goes astray from the truth, and anyone turns him back, know that the one turning a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and hide a multitude of sins.”

That is serious business.

John 17:17 “Set them apart by your truth, your Word is truth!”

Want to have some fun here guys? Let’s examine the prophetic timing of the 3 days and 3 nights in the earth. Following is an excerpt from our original article “Pentecost and all its Fullness” written back in 1996 and has carried through in the update. Our Savior gave very specific instruction as to how long He would be in the grave. It was the fulfilment of the prophetic application of the first Passover in Egypt. It would be a defining sign of His messiahship written across Millenia. No shortcutting entire days is to be allowed which often did take place in counting days. Watch how simple this is.

In Exodus 19:1 scripture tells us that Israel arrived at Sinai the same day they left Egypt. It also tells us it was the third month when they arrived. That is the same day of the week and not the date of the 1st month as some try to say. There are 7 days in a week and that becomes very relevant to what day they left Egypt and arrived at Sinai. If the example set in the NT scriptures of Christ dying on a Wednesday afternoon, being placed in the grave at the end of that day, and fulfilling His own prophecy of the sign of Jonah; 3 nights and 3 days in the grave and becoming the Wave Sheaf on Sunday or the first day of the week is typified after the events of Israel’s first Passover, UB and Pentecost we must have proof in the OT scriptures. Well, there most certainly is, and let’s follow it through. The evidence speaks for itself. The calendar is the key to it. Exodus 19:1 tells us it is the 3rd month. Keep in mind each month has 29 or 30 days. Verse 2 tells us they were camped before the mountain. Verse 11 tells us it was Mount Sinai. Now remember earlier we studied how they had to sanctify themselves for 3 days and on the 3rd day they were to stand before the mountain and the Lord was to come down upon the mountain in the sight of all the people. (Here is a typical pattern of counting in scripture. Partial days are included as a full day count. The day was partially spent when Moses got the directions to give to the elders to sanctify themselves. It was well into that day when they received the instructions but it is still counted as day one. Day 2 is a full day count and day 3 ended up being the first part of the day when the event happened but counted as the third day. That is why Christ used the sign of Jonah to clearly declare to everyone we don’t use that method in numbering the three days He would be in the earth. He spelled it out so vividly by saying 3 days and 3 nights which Biblically is 72 hours and not just saying 3 days) If this was to be Pentecost it has to be the 50th day and a Sunday, the 1st day of the week. So, using these 3 specific days as a marker and counting backwards we see the 3rd day was Sunday, the second was the Sabbath and the 1st day was the 6th day of the week, or as we call it Friday, the day of preparation. Do you think that is coincidental? We have just accounted for 3 of the last 50 days. The earliest Israel could have camped before the mountain would be Thursday based on Exodus 19 and the chronology of the count. If this is true it must be the same day of the week that they left Egypt as 19:1 tells us. That means that the first Passover would have had to have been on a Wednesday, just as depicted from the NT scriptures of Christ’s last Passover. He and His disciples ate the Passover meal after sunset on Tuesday night just as depicted in the Exodus, chapters 12 and 19, time-line. The first day of UB was Thursday. The two time-lines match perfectly as they should for one is the affirmation of the other. That means that Thursday Abib 15 would have been the first day of UB and that the following Sunday would be the start of the count to Pentecost which will always fall in the 3rd month. It is mathematically impossible for it to be any other month.

Exodus 12:2 tells us the Passover takes place in the 1st month. Verse 6 tells us it is to take place during the 14th day of that month. Ex 13:4 tells us that month is called Abib.

Numbers 33:3 “they departed from Ramses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after Passover the children of Israel went out with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians.”

This must be on Thursday, or day 5 of the weekly count established in Genesis 1. So, if they arrived at Sinai the same day that they left Egypt which would be day 5 or Thursday the count of days has to work in order to prove it. So, let’s count.

** 7th day of the 3rd month is the end of the count to 50 and is Pentecost, the first day of the creation week sequence.

The 4th day of the 3rd month of that year was Thursday. That is the 47th day of the count to 50 from the Wave Sheaf Day. They left Egypt on the 5th day of the week, they arrive at Sinai on the 5th day of the week. They are commanded to sanctify themselves for 3 days. Friday, Saturday (Sabbath), and Sunday (Pentecost, Feast of Weeks, Feast of Firstfruits) the day God came down on the mountain.

That is the same sequence of the weekly count in the New Testament scriptures. It all fits perfectly. Scripture interprets and proves scripture. The events of the first Passover and that of Christ’s death chronicle each other.

That is following the Word of God/Elohim and not applying intellectual vanity to it. When our Savior says 3 days and 3 nights, He means exactly that.

Then we have the use of the Greek word “sabbaton” #4521. And no that is not a Hebrew derivative as some claim. It is used as one often in referring to the 7th day Sabbath but it is inclusive of any period of time of ceasing or cessation from activity being it work or else wise. It is often spelled and pronounced as sabbata. Sabbata is a transliteration of the Aramaic (more modern) or more accurately the Chaldean (older for of the language). The root is sabat. The Semitic languages: Assyrian, Arabic, Aramaic and Hebrew all have their version of it. They all come from the root that means to cease, to desist, to rest. That is why in Hebrew you have both Shabbat and Shabbaton describing the difference between the 7th day Sabbath and an annual Holy day or shabbaton. One represents the 7th day cessation from work with its restrictions and the annual holy days with their cessations and restrictions. One is used as a name for the 7th day while the other use is applied to a day of cessation from work which can fall on any day of the week.

The Chaldean language does not define the two differently but lumps them into time periods of cessation and desisting in one way or another. That is exactly what the Greek language does as well. It can be applied to the 7th day Sabbath or an annual Holy Day or any other day which includes a rest or cessation from something. The context of its usage will describe which one.

Catholicism declares its usage as the 7th day Sabbath to completely trample on the instructions of Christ/Messiah as to His 3 days and 3 nights being the only sign to an evil and adulterous generation which they could understand so they would be without excuse. Catholicism is included in that as it is a completely pagan religion which declares to be Christ centered. Their doctrine of a Friday crucifixion fits hand in hand with their Christmas, Easter, etc. doctrines.

We should not be doing that degree of Biblical stupidity and rebellion from the direct instructions from our Savior. To do so is the spiritual sin of intellectual vanity.
