Re: There is a claim that when Messiah returns, He will convene a Sanhedrin. What does the Bible say who will be judging when He returns? A Sanhedrin or members of the Bride of Christ/Messiah?
Good morning and Happy Sabbath to All,
Of late I have been exposed to a lot of nonsense being spoken by too many, that when Christ/Messiah returns He will be the prince/head of a Sanhedrin which is necessary to correct the current Jewish Calendar laws. They declare they need to wait until Messiah forms a Sanhedrin upon His return. They actually know it is in error, but that does not stop them from using it anyway which is just another substantiation of Isaiah 1:12-15.
There is no smooth or soft way to say it. Their actions in such are an abomination before our Elohim. Their calendar is just one of the traditional errors created by being under a “spirit of stupor.” Unfortunately, a lot of folks who profess to be Messianic in their pursuits, incorporate some of the traditions and commandments of Judaism into their thinking in one fashion or another. Paul commands a member of the Body of Christ/Messiah to completely avoid such Biblical heresy, and do not go anywhere near that table.
All those who qualified to be chosen for the Bride under the terms and conditions of the First Marriage Covenant are in the grave awaiting their reward. But look what has happened to the rest.
Romans 11:7-10
“(Question) “What then?”
(Answer) “Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect (Verse 5) have obtained it, and the rest were blinded,8 just as it is written: Elohim has given them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.
9 And David says: let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a recompense to them (and anyone else that is eating from it), 10 let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, and bow down their back always.” (Not forward in true worship with sincerity and truth)
Romans 11:28:
“Concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers (not their own).”
What they teach as commandments and traditions, are an enemy of the gospel of Christ/Messiah. No mincing words here from Paul so why do some of you do so? We are not to mix our clean spiritual food with the unclean servings of Judaism. If you do you will render what is clean as unclean, after the Biblical pattern of instruction. With that said they are not the enemy, just their teachings. The descendants of Abraham will have another chance to enter into a different covenant structure when our Lord and Savior returns. Atonement and Tabernacling/Ingathering speak to that timeline.
John actually clarifies Paul’s instructions even further to the Body of Christ/Messiah and those thinking they are more enlightened than Paul was. 11 John 7-11:
“For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus was Christ/Messiah in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. 9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in this doctrine of Christ/Messiah, does not have Father El. He who abides in this doctrine of Christ/Messiah has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.”
Allowing the teachings of the Rabbis of Judaism (they reject Jesus/Yeshua as Messiah thus they do not have Father either) into your home is to be eating from a polluted table prepared in a spirit of biblical stupor. Unfortunately, many today are dumbed down to these simple commands and warnings contained in the Bible, the Word of God/Elohim. They have lost their footing and end up stumbling in a wrong direction. They are going backwards and not forwards.
That is the fate of many in the Messianic movements of today. I use the plural sense here because there are literally dozens of them professing to be under the label Messianic. What a mess. It is very similar to the dozens of sects claiming to be under the banner of Christianity.
So, what does the Second Marriage Covenant scriptures (New Testament to many) actually tell us about who will be kings and priests; thus, those who will be judging and ruling once Jesus/Yeshua the Christ/Messiah returns to make war with His enemies on the Feast of Trumpets and afterwards?
First, a definition of a Sanhedrin of Native Israel so there is no mistake for some of you who do not actually know.
“The Sanhedrin was a Jewish legislative and judicial assembly in the ancient land of Israel. There were two classes of Rabbinite courts called sanhedrins: Greater and Lesser. A lesser Sanhedrin of 23 judges was appointed to sit as a tribunal in each city. In general usage, the Sanhedrin without qualifier usually refers to the Great Sanhedrin. There was only one Great Sanhedrin of 71 judges, which, among other roles, acted as a supreme court, taking appeals from cases that lesser courts decided. The Great Sanhedrin was presided over by the Nasi (prince), assisted by the Av Beit Din (big dog). In the Second Temple period, the Great Sanhedrin met in the Temple in Jerusalem, in a building called the Hall of Hewn Stones. The Great Sanhedrin convened every day except festivals and the sabbath day.”
So, what does the Bible say about the future of judging and ruling after Christ/Messiah returns?
Let’s cover the apostles to start with first: Matthew 19:28:
“So, Jesus said to them, assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Thus, no Sanhedrin found there at that time.
Luke 22:28-30
“But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials. 29 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed upon Me, 30 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Once again, more details about who will be judging, but no Sanhedrin there either. Let’s keep looking.
For an accurate translation of the pronoun autos and its uses look into Strongs. Here is just a portion of that: “#846 autos; the reflexive pronoun of self, used of the third person and of other persons; her, she, him, he, itself, they, these, them, etc.”
Now, with the proper pronoun inserted based on the Biblical pattern of the Bride, let’s see what John has to say about all of this.
The responsibilities of the Bride; the second Eve, in Revelation 20:4-6
“And I saw thrones, and she sat on them, and judgment was committed to her. Then I saw the souls of those who had been martyred for their witness to Jesus and for the word of Father El; who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And she lived and reigned with Christ/Messiah for a thousand years. 5 This is the first resurrection, but the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. 6 Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of Father El and of Christ/Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.”
Once again, no Sanhedrin found there.
We need to be very careful and attentive to the source of Biblical instruction we think we are internalizing. Judaism has no part in preparing or serving any of our spiritual food. There will be no Sanhedrin convened to judge when the Lord returns to judge anything let alone a new moon sighting. There will be no need for it as the earth axis will have been corrected and thus twelve 30 day months will follow. Isaiah 13:13 and Revelation 6:12-17
“Therefore, I will shake the heavens, and the earth will move out of her place, in the wrath of Yehovah of hosts and in the day of His fierce anger.”
“I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind (Satan and his horde of fallen angels). 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place (They are still there but no longer relevant to the north and south 23.44 degree axis tilt from the sun. Thus, new heavens are seen from every location on earth). 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
The twelve 30 day month calendar is made possible by the axis of the earth being made straight to the sun. So simple for our Elohim, but so difficult for many to grasp.
The Land is getting some rain once again today as it did yesterday in multiple locations. The amounts will determine the degree of germination in those locations. There are some fields seeded already but many are not. That is the simple pattern of farming. To be included in the early maturing fields they will need to be planted and have germinated no later that mid November.
Some of those locations are still being harvested for the current crop in them. Cotton is a big one in the north and center of the country.
For those asking, yes the olive harvest is still going heavy.
For the newer folks keep in mind that some grain fields actually get irrigated so you always need to scour the surroundings to see if it has happened there. If so they are disqualified for consideration of a most holy First of the Firstfruit Wavesheaf offering. It all has to develop from the rains of heaven. The photo of this happening this week is from the Hula Valley. There are a few dairy operations locally to it, and they use the barley and wheat growing there as silage for the cows. Thus they cut it as soon as it reaches the Zadok scale code number of 8. With the ongoing drought there irrigation is required for them to meet their timing.
The same thing takes place in some locations of the NW Negev because of the dairy operations there as you old timers know.
