Good Morning Folks,
We are hoping your walk is continuing well on the straight and narrow road following the Lamb of Fathers Household wherever He goes.
At times I lose sight of the simple fact that many who visit this Facebook page and our abibofgod.com website do not have a hands on history of experience with growing cycles and specifically with grains as found in the Promised Land. Father has tied the Plan of Salvation to these growing cycles with their harvests. That is a simple fact.
So today I will give a short overview of what we do here to assist any and all who wish to take the time and read what we report throughout the Abib Growing Cycle in the Land.
This growth cycle begins with the timing of the early rains whether planted by man or self-seeded. The seeds are sleeping in the ground until the rains from heaven are sent to them.
Deuteronomy 11:10-12 For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered by foot as a vegetable garden; but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which Yehovah your Elohim cares; the eyes of Yehovah your Elohim are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
Very simple instructions thus we pay special attention to the start of the early rains in the Land for He gives us the criteria and command to do so. During the times of Native Israel’s tenure in the Promised Land they had a dedicated tribe of Levites to do that watching throughout the growing cycle. In fact, they were distributed into 48 districts/cities with that being one of their responsibilities. When they knew the barley would be able to produce a First of the Firstfruits offering and qualify by Biblical standards to be used as the Wavesheaf Offering in the upcoming next lunar cycle they would report that to the Temple priests so they in fact could prepare for the Month of Abib. Through experience and watching the growth patterns of the barley crop they knew which of the fields under their jurisdiction would be the earliest to mature.
We simply follow that very same process and report to you the results of what we see. However, for us we look throughout the entirety of the grain growing locations in the Land. We do this from afar; through all of the technologies available to us, and we do it in the Land with personal inspections, and through observations of brethren called by Father who live there.
This year Bridget has put together an interactive map for your use as well as our own to follow along with the early rain totals in 150 locations across the Land. This is a very valuable tool to us and we hope it will be for you. Most of these locations are in grain growing areas but a few are not, just to give a perspective on where it rains early on and then where it stops early as well. Very important for we are instructed that our Elohim are in control of the rains to bring a crop to its maturity or to not.
Amos 4:7 I also withheld rain from you, when there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city; I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, and where it did not rain that part withered. So, two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, but they were not satisfied;yet you have not returned to Me, says Yehovah.
Once again, the reason why we follow the rains around the country. Just because they start in two locations at the same time does not mean they will continue in them both. The current map Bridget has up, shows all the areas which have received adequate early rains for the seed in the ground to germinate. That is both wild and domestic barley. At this point let me remind you to not forget the wild oats as we have demonstrated for decades that it is the precursor or forerunner to both the wild and domestic barley by 2-3 weeks in the traditionally early locations which have good ground. These areas are actual agricultural areas that are tillable. Once again this is a Biblical Principle which needs to be applied to any location producing a First of the Firstfruit Wavesheaf Offering candidate.
Isaiah 28:23-26 Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say. When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep turning the soil and breaking up the clods? When he has leveled its surface, does he not sow the black cummin and scatter cummin? Does he not plant wheat in rows, barley in its appointed place, and spelt in its field? His Elohim instructs him in right judgment, and teaches him the right way.
This is Biblical Instruction as to where the barley is to come from. Tillable agricultural ground, not some rocky hillside or destitute area of poor soils. Either we believe this instruction from Father or we do not. That is up to you. We just print out the patterns for you to use. Any and all barley to be considered for a First of the Firstfruit qualifying location needs to adhere to this instruction from our Elohim. Nothing else is eligible. Yehovah deemed it so in scripture so who is anyone else to say differently. It is a Biblical Agricultural Standard to be met.
It is important to understand that all the wild and domestic barley seed will germinate when found in good ground or unacceptable poor ground if they receive adequate amounts of early rain. Both these sisters will germinate at the same time if the same conditions are in play. But that is where it ends. Poor soils do not hold water well, it drains off and is also easily evaporated. Thus, there is a constant need for more rains from heaven than required by barley growing in good ground which holds its moisture much longer. If found in good nutrient tillable soil we are able to apply Zadoks Growth scale to it. If not, there is no consistency to the wild barley in poor soils. For once the rains slow down or stop, havoc commences in the plant. It will try to rapidly mature to physiological maturity to be able to reproduce itself. What ensues is a very anemic and blemished plant for, it will sacrifice its tillers to achieve its self-important goal of one head of grain making it. That is not a depiction of our Savior.
We are given the patterns of the agricultural growth, planting, and harvests in scripture to assist us because our Elohim decided a very long time ago that They would depict the Plan of Salvation through the planting, growing, and harvest seasons in the Promised Land. That is why They control all the meteorological conditions there to bring about Their desired outcomes and thus the start of the Biblical Year in the Month of Abib.
Over the decades of our involvement with the Abib Calendar we have used the instructions and patterns found in scripture and in creation, to develop a methodology which brings us to the correct timing for the change from winter to summer.
The First of the Firstfruit barley is the Biblical representation of our Savior in the timeline of the Plan of Salvation which is rehearsed during every yearly cycle. He is the start of it, the Head of it. That is why we are required to have a blemish free wavesheaf sample from good ground for the Wavesheaf Offering rehearsal on the first day of the week falling during the Days of Unleavened Bread. He was accepted on our behalf, those of us Gentiles who are now able to be called by Father unto His Son. It is the critical piece of the pattern which determines which month will be the first month. He fulfills that criteria spiritually. He is spiritually blemish free just like He was when He fulfilled the criteria to become the Lamb of Fathers household. Thus, He is our blemish free Wavesheaf and Passover.
So, to ensure we are not deceived by the many running to and fro here at the end of the age who have attached themselves to this watershed doctrine, we immerse ourselves in the Abib Growing Cycle each and every year. It takes time and focus. We share the results with any who wishes to use them throughout the year. There is no cost to anyone to do so. No contact is even necessary for the information can be viewed in the privacy of your location.
If you have any specific questions, you can contact us at abibfellowship@gmailcom.
We have furnished photos of both wild and domestic having germinated to date.
Our peace we give to you.
